Centering Diné Voices: Barriers, Facilitators, and Perceptions of Cardiac Care among Patients with Heart Failure in Rural Navajo Nation

Study Objective:

To characterize the barriers, facilitators, and perceptions of cardiac care among Diné (Navajo) patients with heart failure receiving care through the IHS, and determine patient-designed solutions to advance Indigenous cardiovascular health.

*This qualitative work provided the foundation for further community-based participatory work, including design and implementation of the Hózhó: Heart failure OptimiZation at Home to improve Outcomes Telehealth model.
